Simpson and Brown was contracted to perform the demolition of all the existing waterside structures, process and re-use the concrete debris as fill, Install 1800 LF of 48” diameter x 60Ft Pipe pile combi-wall to create a new stabilized shoreline bulkhead along the Arthur Kill, this pipe pile bulkhead also required a large scour protection toe consisting of 3-4ft solid rock boulders that had to be installed after the pile driving was complete in the tidal zone.

FAIRLAWN AVENUE BRIDGE OVER PASSAIC RIVER
There was difficulty in the setup area for the crane, leads, and material deliveries due to tight access. The work area was also adjacent to Route 20, a high-volume traffic area on the west and the Passaic River on the east.

APM WHARF MODERNIZATION

Simspson & Brown Marine and Land Construction recently completed a complex marine and structural project featuring the installation of 600 LF of 24” pipe piles and 6,000 CY of heavily reinforced cast-in-place concrete.

LIBERTY STATE
PARK

Demolition of existing timber pier. Drove pipe piles in 2 pile bents in a radius shape from wide to narrow. Place precast concrete pile caps and precast concrete planks. Install cast in place deck over precast. Install decorative timber fender system to match historic look. Install 100 pile timber cluster at end of pier to match historic look.
